Waterfront private residence - an eco house filled with light and appropriate to the site - a new build home befitting of a young family. A collaborative project with GEARoques Architects.

The 1,100 sq. metre complex is built on the site of a 1960’s bungalow. The project included staff and pool house with guest accommodation and new slipways into Chichester Harbour. Constructed using a UK sourced pre-fabricated panels.

With an eye to the future, the specification included high performance components with storm and grey water harvesting, storage (utilising a redundant swimming pool), geo thermal and solar heating with PV panels, which all combine to make this a true eco house.

The team, while largely local – Sussex and Hampshire – consultants and builders (different phases, different builders) was enriched by a French timber house specialist architect and team of cladding carpenters.

The building is within the jurisdiction of the Chichester Harbour Conservancy.
